Calendar Year

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

This letter is addressed to the future generation of children.  My hope dear children, is your awareness of relationship, adjournment and coexistence with God in your futuristic land.

The land you walk in your time was in the beginning of time uninhabited, devoid and absent of the ensemble of structure, concrete and steel that has enhanced and complemented your level of comfort.

In the earliest of time was the evolution of God’s creation, the extraneous accomplishment of creation from without; to create without substance, material, seed or toll, which is a skill man can only envision yet never duplicate.

In my year, my dictionary’s definition of the word creator read as followed:  Creator n. God. I hope and pray your dictionary will read the same.

THE NEW YEAR
To the next stage
Passing day grew
From old to new
Night closes to morn
Awaken new year born
Shedding a tear
Goodbye last year
The old fades away
The new year today

BON APPETIT TO YESTERYEAR
(In memory of Grandma Bridget Cioffi)
by Susan Marie Davniero
Published Long Story Short

New Year's Eve of the past
Good old days do not last
Yet memories I can still taste

Welcome to Grandma's home
Scent of homemade pizza roams
Escaping from kitchen room

Suddenly it's New Year's Eve
Midnight pizza pie is served
Yearly family tradition preserved

Slice of Grandma's years
Fall of nostalgia tears
Bon Appetit to yesteryear

THE NEW YEAR
The New Year may welcome unpredictable crises to threaten America land.  Americans willingly, or unwillingly, will be to cope, withstand, defend and endure in unity.

Faithfully, a fortified American will evolve in oneness, as a champion of unity of all peoples in victory. Alas, the disparity amid us hinders all peoples’ survival for the future.

Aspire to give as no one shall be without in America.  We live in a time of an awakening.  We can choose to evolve and move out of the shadows of disharmony of hate and journey onward the path of harmonious love to tomorrow.

Destiny is in our hands.  The future is now.  In the New Year let there be peace on earth and let it begin with us

America’s destiny in our hand
Join together we all stand

2011 - We only just begun!

MARCH

March roars in
Bursting wind
Raising cane
Frosty pain
Nature laws
Warmth thaws
Days pass on
Over and gone
Winter bids adieu
Spring anew

MAY DAY

May Day have meaning
To a life redeeming
May Day reach out
Compassion about
May Day respect all
Answering their call
May Day be positive
Each day I live
May Day of love
Sent by God above

AUGUST

August of summer air
Of days which wear
Amid warmth tone
The months own

Awakened the earth

In a garden’s hearth
Flowers in a row

By sunset’s glow

Summer closing fades
Seasons are made
I yield to save
What August gave

SEPTEMBER

By Susan Marie Davniero

Published Great South Bay Magazine

Morning slumber
Goodbye summer
Early morning dew
Sky’s pale blue

Summer is taken
Autumn awaken
A breeze in the air
September is there

Calendar pages
Season stages
Days anew
September hue

Autumn’s fall
Seasonal stall
To which remember
Come September

OCTOBER DAYS

Published Long Story Short

October days grow duller
In search of earthy color
Patchwork cloak of leaves
Fallen from stripped trees
Orange, yellow, gold
Dress the season bold
Sunlight dimming down
Barren grass browns
Trails on nature’s path
Creeps in winter’s wrath

August Swings
published Long Story Short

Rise with the morning sun

Day of leisure has begun
Unwrapping what the day brings
When August swings

Treasure of this season time
Uncover the blooming, shade and shine
Listen to the summer wind sings,
When August swings

Until the fall of dusk send,
Us on a vacation trip to end,
Goodbye to summer’s fling
When August swings

Pine Cones in my Window

Walking the my path at dawn
Pine cones fallen on the front lawn
I gather the cones in my hand
Nature’s beauty gives me a plan

Looking out my front window
I fasten the cones with a red bow
Earth tones swing of brown
From the inside looking out show
